West Ham star Michail Antonio has been ruled out of this weekend’s clash with Liverpool, only days after his costly mistake denied Slaven Bilic’s men a vital three points, reports the Evening Standard.

Antonio clumsily gave the ball away in the corner in the final seconds at Selhurst Park at the weekend, subsequently leading to Palace star Wilfried Zaha scoring and levelling the scores to 2-2.

After coming under heavy criticism for his actions by fans, his team-mates and his manager, many thought the Englishman would be likely to sit this weekend out, however that decision has now been made for him after he picked up an injury.

A recurring rib injury which he sustained during the Hammers 3-0 defeat to Brighton over a fortnight over will see him miss out on this weekend’s action.

Antonio, despite being named the club’s Player of the Year last season, has been riddled with injury during his time at the London Stadium, and missed the early part of the season with a hamstring problem he sustained at the back end of the previous campaign.

Pablo Zabaleta will also miss the action through suspension, meaning Slaven Bilic is likely to be without an out-and-out right back for Saturday’s crunch match.
