New West Ham boss David Moyes has been handed another injury blow, with summer signing Marko Arnautovic set for a scan on the hand injury sustained in the 2-0 defeat against Watford.

The Hammers boss was without influential duo Javier Hernandez and Michail Antonio for his first game in charge of the club, as well as Andre Ayew, and Arnautovic provided a breath of fresh air, with a better performance than he had done in the entirety of his spell in East London so far.

However, The Evening Standard states Arnautovic will have a scan this week on an injury sustained in that defeat, which was too gruesome to show in some angles, and there’s a chance that the 28-year-old Austrian international could be out for a number of weeks.

That means the club’s record signing is unlikely to feature in this weekend’s crucial clash with Leicester City at the London Stadium, though Moyes will be thankful that both Ayew and Antonio are in line for a return.
