West Ham United have struggled to find positives in their poor season so far, with the Hammers remaining in the bottom three after a 2-0 defeat to Watford this weekend.
David Moyes was unable to secure a positive result in his first match in charge of the East London side but did make changes to the side, including in-form striker Toni Martinez amongst the substitutes for the defeat at Vicarage Road.
The 20-year-old forward has been in electric form for the U23 side this season and fans were left furious as former boss Slaven Bilic continued to overlook the young South American. However, Moyes seems to be prepared to hand him a chance.
Whilst he didn’t take to the field in the defeat, Martinez posted to Twitter to state he was very happy with his first Premier League experience and the response from the supporters saw fans calling for one thing- for him to feature.
Many want him to start ahead of Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll in Friday night’s clash with Leicester City, as Javier Hernandez is expected to remain on the sidelines with injury.
Not the result we wanted but we go again! Thanks to all the fans for the support. Happy to make my first PL experience. ⚒ pic.twitter.com/Ey4jenl4mO
