West Ham are facing a fight to avoid relegation after a poor start to the season, which saw Slaven Bilic relieved of his duties last month.

The Hammers are yet to win under the guidance of David Moyes but have shown improvements in the two matches under the tenure of the Scottish boss, a 2-0 loss to Watford and a 1-1 draw with Leicester City.

West Ham still remain in the Premier League’s bottom three but can rise out of that position with a victory against fellow strugglers Everton this evening, a match which will see Moyes return to a club where he spent 11 years.

Moyes has certainly led to an improvement in morale around the club, as revealed by loanee Joe Hart in an interview with the club’s official website– where he discussed an ‘uncomfortable’ situation that the Scottish boss inherited.

“The manager’s primary focus has been to get us back into a good place. That’s no disrespect to Slaven [Bilic], because I really enjoyed the short time I worked with him and he is a good man, but I just felt there was an uncomfortable situation for everyone.”

“So, the decision got made and David has come in and it’s quite a simple job in his eyes, and in our eyes, which is getting us playing as a team in a strong formation and making us accountable for mistakes and not being in position, and that’s how we’re playing at the moment.”
