Serie A side AC Milan are keeping tabs on West ham defender Angelo Ogbonna ahead of the January transfer window, reports Claret and Hugh.

The Italy international, who joined the Hammers from Juventus back in 2015, has reportedly been eyed in order to help solve Milan’s defensive woes after a poor start to the season at the back.

Manager Vincenzo Montella spent big in the summer on the likes of Leonardo Bonucci, Ricardo Rodriguez and Mateo Musacchio in order to help sure up his back line, however such spending has proven ineffective.

Milan currently sit 8th in the Serie A table, and have leaked 16 goals already this campaign despite their plethora of high profile signings.

Ogbonna is seen as a potential answer to such problems.

The 29-year-old defender already has over 100 Serie A caps to his time from his time with both Torino and Juventus, and also boasts 13 caps for his country.
