West Ham have endured a difficult period since the start of the season, slipping into the Premier League’s relegation zone after winning just two of their opening eleven matches.

The Hammers sacked Slaven Bilic during the international break, replacing him with former Manchester United boss David Moyes, and some claims suggested that the decision upset Mexican striker Javier Hernandez.

29-year-old forward Hernandez worked with Moyes previously during the pair’s time at Old Trafford, with it being claimed they didn’t have the best of relationships, and further claims have surfaced to suggest that the striker wants to return to boyhood club Chivas.

However Hernandez, who misses Moyes’ first-game in charge against Watford this weekend, took to Twitter to condemn the reports that he stated were completely false. Translated below, the tweet read:

‘Completely false. I am 100% committed to helping improve the situation we are experiencing all at West Ham. I have not asked to leave West Ham at any time.’

Hernandez’s comments will provide a boost to the Hammers at a crucial period, where they need improvements and consistency in front of goal if they’re to fend off the looming threat of relegation.
