West Ham boss David Moyes is already getting to grips with the challenges in East London, as the Scottish boss is drawing up a short-list of players he wants to sign in the January transfer window.

The Hammers slipped into the relegation zone last weekend, which ultimately cost Slaven Bilic his job at the London Stadium, and the East London giants now face a stern test to rise out of safety and retain their Premier League status.

Signings in January are therefore inevitable Moyes is already drawing up a list of players he wants to sign, with The Daily Mirror stating that he’s set his sights on  Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter, Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho and Sunderland defender Lamine Kone.

Carvalho has been heavily linked with West Ham in recent months, with the Hammers failing to complete a move in the summer, whilst Kone worked with Moyes at Sunderland- although he wasn’t too impressive, with the Black Cats relegated at the end of the season.

A deal for Carvalho would likely exceed the club-record £24m spent on Marko Arnautovic in the summer but a deal for the Portuguese ace could be funded by a sale of the Austrian, who’s failed to impress since arriving from Stoke City.
