Slaven Bilic has spoken out for the first time since his sacking from West Ham United, and says there are ‘no hard feelings’ between him and the club’s owners.

The Croatian was let go from the East London club earlier today after what has been a dreadful start to the season for Bilic and his side, who have won only 2 of their 11 top flight games so far this season.

Bilic also endured a tough previous campaign, where the Hammers spent much of the year in a relegation dog fight, despite ending the season in a respectable 11th place.

Following his sacking, Bilic pulled up in Harry Redknapp-esque style outside the club’s training ground to speak to the media for the first time.

“I expected it. There are no hard feelings,” Bilic told Sky Sports.

“I can be very proud of my work here.

“We didn’t start this crucial season well. As in many clubs across Europe, the manager is the one who pays the price.

“It’s a very logical move. The fans were brilliant to me from the start until the end.”
