West Ham scouts were in attendance to watch Galatasaray midfielder Badou Ndiaye play against Trabzonspor yesterday, according to Sporx.

Representatives from Newcastle United, Leicester City and Tottenham were all also there to see the 27 year old in action, but they would not have been impressed by what they saw.

Ndiaye started the match but the Senegalese international was sent off in stoppage time as Galatasaray lost the match 2-1. It was an ill-tempered affair with two other players, including former West Ham winger Sofiane Feghouli, being red carded. It was Galatasaray’s first league defeat of the season, but they still lead the Super Lig table by three points ahead of Istanbul Basaksehir.

The Hammers were first linked with Ndiaye way back in January when he was still at Osmanlispor, but he moved to Galatasaray for €7.5m back in August. It seems strange then that West Ham would be still interested in the player just a few months after he changed clubs, but it may the case that the club’s scouts are just keeping an eye on the player’s development.
