Goalkeeper Adrian has opened up on his relationship with summer signing Joe Hart, and insists he will still look to leave the club after a lack of game time this season.

The Spaniard, who last season shared the duties between the sticks in East London with the now departed Darren Randolph, has found himself surplus to requirements since the arrival of Hart at the London Stadium.

Adrian has featured only three times all season, with all of those appearances coming in the Carabao Cup, with Manchester City loanee Hart now Slaven Bilic’s preferred choice in goal.

Despite being ousted by Hart, Adrian insists his relationship with the Englishman remains good.

“He is a good bloke and a great goalkeeper,” he told talkSPORT international.

“He came here to play and they are giving him the chance to. This season I have this role and I am accepting it but of course I want continuity and I want to play every week.”

He however, goes on to say he will still look for a way out of East London should his chances on the big stage continue not to come.

“I still have a contract with West Ham for the remainder of this season and the next one but, as I said, I want continuity,” said the Spaniard.

“I want to carry on playing games and I want to be happy. The way to achieve that is playing every Sunday.

“If I am not given the chance to play here I will try to reach an agreement with the club. Of course I won´t stop fighting for my chance and I have showed that [in Wednesday’s win over Spurs]. I will keep on doing the same next time I have an opportunity.”
