West Ham fans have endured a turbulent season so far this term and the drama has continued over the past week, with the Hammers battling back from 2-0 down to defeat Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup before throwing away a two-goal lead of their own.
Crystal Palace’s last-gasp equaliser at Selhurst Park this weekend saw the Hammers miss the chance to secure a vital three points, that would have also eased the pressure upon the head of Croatian manager Slaven Bilic.
The failure to hold onto the lead could have a huge effect on West Ham’s season, particularly if a managerial change is made, but fans have taken positives from the performance in the form of Andre Ayew.
The Ghanian striker led the revival against Tottenham last week with two second-half goals, before netting against Crystal Palace- taking his tally to three goals in as many games and providing the attacking boost that the club need.
Fans are understandably delighted with his improved form and have taken to social media to praise the African forward, who could play a crucial role in the Hammers’ campaign.
