West Ham blew the chance to secure a vital three points at Selhurst Park this weekend, as the Hammers conceded a late goal to throw away a two-goal lead and see the points shared.

The result means West Ham have now gone three Premier League matches without a win and sit just one-point above the relegation zone, as well as having the third-worst goal difference (-9) and are amongst the worst defences in the league, conceding 19 goals in ten games.

Now facing a crucial six weeks, which sees the Hammers tackle Liverpool, Watford, Everton, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal between now and mid-December, things are looking bleak for the club and for manager Slaven Bilic.

Reportedly given two games to save his job after last week’s defeat to Brighton, the Croatian has kept his head above water by going through those two matches undefeated, having beaten Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup, but the axe still looms.

A lot of fingers were pointed after the draw with Crystal Palace and many criticised Michail Antonio for his role in the Eagles’ late equaliser, with the England international conceding possession with a poor cross and seeing his side hit on the counter.

However, former West Ham man Danny Gabbidon has defended the wide-man following the draw and has instead pointed his finger at the defence, who he believes were playing far too deep.

Liverpool, Watford, Leicester City and Everton await for the Hammers in November, with the first two games seeing West Ham tackle high-flying sides before two crucial games against their fellow strugglers.
