Former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is the latest name being linked with the West Ham manager’s job.
The Chilean is currently working in China as the manager of Hebei China Fortune, but the Sun say the Hammers are considering approaching him if they decide to sack manager Slaven Bilic.
The Croatian is under enormous pressure with the club sixteenth in the table after nine games played. Last season’s troubles could be attributed to the struggles of moving to the London Stadium, as well as the sale of Dimitri Payet, but this campaign there can be no excuses.
After the 3-0 loss to Brighton on Friday, Bilic made clear that the buck stops with him for the poor start to the season. It seems however the West Ham board will give him some more time to turn things round, but it looks as though the club do have contingency plans in place if results don’t improve.
Here is some of the Twitter reaction to the club being linked with Pellegrini:

Sam Allardyce as caretaker manager until summer, then get Mancini/Benitez/Pellegrini in the summer.
I wouldn’t mind that at all. #WHUFC

West Ham will avoid big spenders like Benitez and Pellegrini. We are barrow boys not M+S. Wagner will do.
