West Ham fans have called for manager Slaven Bilic to give an opportunity to young striker Toni Martinez after his good run of form in the club’s U23 side.
Martinez has found the net 8 times in 9 appearances this season, taking his total to 24 in 27 for Terry Westley’s side.
Slaven Bilic’s current top scorer is Andre Ayew who has found the net 5 times in all competitions, while the club’s two main strikers Javier Hernandez and Diafra Sakho have found the net only 4 and 3 times respectively.
Fans have been calling for Martinez to be given his first team shot since his involvement in pre-season where he too impressed, however those calls are now stronger than ever following the youngster’s fine start to the season and the Hammers own poor start to the campaign.
Signed from Spanish side Valencia for a fee of around £2.6 million back in April of 2016, Martinez has yet to make his first team debut for the Hammers, but now the Claret and Blue army say it should be his chance to shine …
8 goals in 9 games this season, 24 in 27 in total. How much longer can Bilic ignore Martinez? https://t.co/hJxk45nN9k

Only explanation surely?

Bilic yesterday: “Martinez won’t be in the squad. We have enough attacking options.”
Bilic today: Plays Kouyate upfront.

Today's thoughts:
1. Will we ever give Martinez a run?
2. Bilic is not to blame when individuals are making careless mistakes
3. Where are we gonna pick up points next?
