It may feel like he’s been around for a while but Theo Walcott, at 28, still has plenty of years ahead of him and is now in the prime years of his career. If he can knuckle-down and earn consistent first-team opportunities, he may well come good for the Hammers.

One of West Ham’s downfalls is they don’t quite have players in their prime, either boasting experience or the talents of the youth. That can be rectified with the addition of Walcott, who should provide a huge boost to the side.
