In his decade with Arsenal, it’s fair to say the former Southampton teenage prodigy has fallen shy of expectations. Taken to the 2006 World Cup as a teenager, Walcott appeared to have the world at his feet but he’s failed to become a crucial player at either club or international level.

Remaining outside of Arsenal’s first-choice line-up, Walcott will want to prove himself if he moves to West Ham and potentially threaten for a spot in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad for the tournament in Russia next summer.
