Slaven Bilic says he is not planning on bringing in defensive reinforcements before the end of the month despite his side’s poor start to the season at the back.

The Hammers have now conceded 7 goals in their opening two Premier League games this season following their 3-2 loss to Southampton at the weekend, form that was continued from a poor pre-season campaign.

During their trip of Europe throughout the summer, Bilic’s side conceded 10 goals in 6 games and managed only one clean sheet – that being against Austrian side Sturm Graz II.

Having seen Altona 93 – a German fifth tier side – smash three past them, and Manchester City do the same in their final two games of pre-season, the Hammers have conceded a total 13 in their last four games.

However, despite their defensive woes, Bilic insists he is happy with what he has, stating “We have enough centre backs in our team, if they stay fit of course” following Saturday’s loss to Southampton.
