Want away Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could be open to a switch to boyhood club West Ham, reports the Daily Mail.

Wilshere – a Hammers fan as a child – is reportedly set to leave the Emirates this summer after spending the previous season on loan with Bournemouth, and could be available for around £20 million.

The Englishman finds himself surplus to requirements at Arsenal, however manager Arsene Wenger is understood not want to let him go cheaply, with the Frenchman expected to use the money from any potential deal to go towards his summer targets. With only one year left on Wilshere’s contract, the Gunners are also likely to sell up before the player becomes available on a free next year.

A former prodigy at Arsenal, Wilshere’s career has been tarred by injuries, meaning he has made only 159 appearances for Wenger’s side in 8 seasons.

Slaven Bilic is keen to add strength to his squad after a poor previous season, and has already added the likes of Pablo Zabaleta and Joe Hart to his squad this summer.
