West Ham are close to completing the signing of Papa Alioune Ndiaye from Osmanlispor, says Goal.com.

Ndiaye has previously stated that he is set to leave the Super Lig this summer for the Premier League with a number of clubs interested in his signature, however it appears The Hammers are now likely to beat the likes of Crystal Palace to the midfielder in a deal worth a reported £8.5 million.

The Senegal international is understood to have flown to London over the weekend to complete a medical with the club, and could join his new team-mates in pre-season by the end of the week.

Ndiaye scored seven times and produced three assists from midfield in all competitions for Osmanlispor last season.

The Turkish club are set to make a huge profit on the 26-year-old should he leave, having signed him for a mere £300,000 only two summers ago.
