West Ham are tracking yet another Ligue One striker according to Sky Sports. With the Mirror reporting earlier this week that the Hammers are watching Montpellier’s Steve Mounie, Sky believes that Slaven Bilic is also keeping a keen eye on Nice forward Alassane Plea.

Plea was in a red hot form earlier this season for the French club but a knee injury he sustained in the 2-2 draw against Stade Rennais back in February ended his season prematurely.

The 24 year old had scored 14 goals in 31 matches prior to his injury. He played mostly through the middle as a main striker but he can also play on the right wing.

After making his debut for Nice back in the 2012/13 season, he was mostly utilised as a right winger before evolving into a centre forward. It must be said though that last season was Plea’s most prolific for the Ligue One side, and the player has also suffered two successive serious knee injuries in the space of two seasons which may concern some Hammers fans.
