Watford forward Isaac Success is being pursued by West Ham, according to his former youth coach Douglas Idahosa.

Idahosa is head of the BJ Foundation in Nigeria where Success was coached between 2012 and 2014 before he joined La Liga club Granada. He told AllNigeriasoccer.com that the 21 year old would seek to leave Vicarage Road if he isn’t given guarantees about first team football next season:

“It is true that West Ham are interested in signing Isaac Success. If he is not promised first-team opportunities he will move before the window closes.”

Success is reportedly part of the same agency that handles West Ham players Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell so there is a connection with the Hammers which could be exploited. There are question marks over the accuracy of this information though.

Transfermarkt.co.uk say that Success’ agency is ‘Just Football’ whose most notable clients are fellow Nigerians Victor Moses and Kelechi Iheanacho, as well as Tottenham’s Erik Lamela.

In any case, it does seem likely that Success is unsettled at the Hornets, especially after being restricted to just two starts and 19 games in all competitions this season, with just one goal and one assist.
