West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion are both considering making a summer bid for Leicester City striker Islam Slimani, according to AfricaTopSports.com.

The Hammers and West Brom lost out on the Algerian international when the 28 year old moved to the Foxes from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon for a reported club record fee of £28million last summer.

The forward has scored eight goals in 25 appearances so far this campaign but has somewhat fallen out of favour in recent months, with a groin injury also limiting his game time.

He has only played the full 90 minutes once since December, with that coming against Everton in the 4-2 defeat last month. Interim manager Craig Shakespeare has favoured the strike pairing of Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki in recent games, but Slimani’s future will likely only be decided when Leicester’s owners have firmly decided on who will be in charge of the team next season.
