West Ham are one of the clubs interested in signing Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina, according to calciomercato.com.

The Italian website say the Hammers will be joined in the race for the Gabonese international by Watford and French club Marseille. The 23 year old spent two seasons with the Ligue One side between 2013 and 2015 before moving on loan to Juve for the 2015/16 season.

He was linked with West Ham, Liverpool and Southampton prior to his switch to Italy but after a season long loan spell in Turin, he made his move to the Bianconeri permanent last summer for €9.5million, with another €1million dependent on performances.

Under manager Max Allegri this season, the midfielder has played 28 games in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist. He has however only started eleven games, and is well known for his fiery temper and indiscipline.

Lemina was sent off in the Champions League group stage match against Lyon earlier this season for two bookable offences, although it must be said he has only picked up two other bookings this campaign.

He has also well known for his positional flexibility having played as a central midfielder, winger, full back and centre back over the past few seasons. Almost all of his games for Juve this season though have been in the centre of midfield.
