West Ham have yet to contact Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure about the possibility of signing for the Hammers, the player’s agent Dimitri Seluk has revealed.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Seluk explained the 34 year old is concentrating on playing for his current club, but he did say his client would consider playing for a team outside of the Champions League if they have the right ambition:

“At the moment Yaya is just concentrating on getting City into the Champions League. That is his only focus. At the end of his contract, we will look at the offers he has.”

“He wants to play in the Champions League next season but he would also play for an ambitious club who have big plans – a club who have a project.”

Toure’s current deal expires at the end of June, and sides in Italy, China and the Premier League have all been linked with a move for the Ivorian. There is also still a possibility the midfielder will decide to remain at the Etihad stadium with City reportedly prepared to offer a one year contract extension.

Seluk confirmed that Toure would find it “difficult to leave City” which suggests the player may snub other teams in order to stay with a club where he has spent the last seven years.
