West Ham will offer both Michail Antonio and Winston Reid new contracts, according to the Sun.

The arrival of both Jose Fonte and Robert Snodgrass on higher wages during the January transfer window has meant a gap has opened up between the club’s highest earning players and the rest of the squad. To placate any issues regarding wages, the Hammers are said to be preparing much improved deals for two of the club’s best performing players in Antonio and Reid.

Antonio only signed a contract extension until 2020 last July but the Sun report he will be offered a  new £65,000 a week deal. Reid meanwhile currently has a deal that extends until 2021 but he will also be given a pay rise up to £70,000 a week.

The Sun’s source also suggests more contract extensions and salary increases are on the way. Although Antonio and Reid certainly deserve better deals due to their performances, whether others do, after a poor season, is doubtful.
