West Ham captain Mark Noble believes that one more win is needed to ensure Premier League survival for the Hammers this season.

The club currently sit eight points above the drop zone after Saturday’s 1-0 win over Swansea City. The Swans still can accrue a possible 18 points from their last six matches, although that is highly unlikely, but Noble told the club’s official website he feels 39 points could be sufficient this season with the club having to face some difficult fixtures after this weekend’s encounter against Sunderland:

“One more win should see us safe. Hopefully we’ve broken that run of losses – games we shouldn’t have lost. Sunderland away is massive and then we have some tough games.”

In their last five matches of the season, the Hammers will host Everton, Tottenham and Liverpool at the London Stadium while they face away trips to Stoke City and Burnley.

West Ham fans will certainly be hoping for more than 39 points at the end of the season to say the least. A top 10 finish is still within reach despite the club’s difficulties this campaign with the Hammers just one point off Watford in tenth.
