Clubcall have linked West Ham with a move for Hamburg forward Bobby Wood after German newspaper Bild claimed that the American international was interesting clubs in England.

Wood only joined the Bundesliga club from Union Berlin for £3million in the summer, but a change of agent has meant that the 24 year old could already be seeking a new contract, or seeking to pursue a transfer away from Hamburg.

Speaking to Bild about the possibility of offering Wood a new contact just 10 months after joining the club, Hamburg sporting director Jens Todt said:

“I am always open to extending contracts prematurely with players who consistently perform well. It does not just have to concern Bobby. The change to Hamburg was good for us, but it was also the perfect step for Bobby. I can well imagine that he knows how good it is for him now.”

Wood has been in good form for Hamburg this season with nine goals in 23 appearances in all competitions so far. The Hawaiian born striker has spent his entire professional career in Germany after starting out at 1860 Munich before his moves to Berlin and Hamburg. He has 25 caps for the United States after making his debut in a friendly against Bosnia in 2013.
