Despite the speculation from other sources that have linked West Ham with three different managers over the past week, the Evening Standard is reporting that there is a strong possibility of the Hammers offering Slaven Bilic a new contract.

The timing for a new deal could however be delayed until the middle of next season when the Croatian will have only six months remaining on his current contract.

The Standard say that there is very little appetite for a change of manager among the club’s hierarchy but recent results have led to them considering alternatives if the club’s form continues to nose dive.

Championship managers Rafa Benitez, Jaap Stam and David Wagner have all been linked by multiple news outlets, but it seems likely that the regular post season review by the club’s owner will determine whether Bilic will remain in charge for next campaign.

No change is likely to come in the last six weeks of the season, and with the club still nine points above the relegation places, there is no urgency currently for sacking Bilic despite the rumours surrounding his future.
