West Ham United are interested in Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport (via ninetyminutesonline.com).

The Czech Under 21 international has broken into the Serie A club’s first team and has been scouted by a number of other clubs too including Arsenal and West Bromwich Albion.

Jankto joined Udinese from Slavia Prague’s youth academy in 2014 and made his senior debut out on loan at Serie B side Ascoli in 2015. During his season long loan at the club, he made a big impact, playing a key role in the centre and the left side of midfielder.

He made 35 appearances, scoring five goals and providing nine assists as Ascoli finished 15th in the table. Udinese kept him for the first team this campaign, and after making his club debut against Spezia in the Coppa Italia back in August, he has made 16 league starts, scoring four and providing four assists.

His ability to play either on the left hand side or in the centre of midfielder maybe something which is interesting the Hammers, although it must be said he has only played central midfield for Udinese this season.
