West Ham captain Mark Noble believes a perfect storm of circumstances have made the last eight months the most challenging of his West Ham career.

The 29 year old says that the Hammers’ move to the London stadium, injuries to key players and the controversy surrounding Dimitri Payet’s departure from the club, have all contributed to making this season particularly tough for him and the squad. He told the club’s official website:

“Obviously the move to the new Stadium and a move to a new training ground, the Dimi situation, so much has gone on and we lost four of our best players [Manuel Lanzini, Aaron Cresswell, Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew] to injury in pre-season, which is hard to replace.”

Noble has come in for criticism for his own performances while manager Slaven Bilic is also under pressure after the 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth at the weekend.

It makes it just one win in the last six league games for West Ham heading into Saturday’s home fixture against Leicester City, The Foxes will be coming off the high of knocking out Sevilla in the knockout round of the Champions League to make it into the quarter finals of the European competition for the first time.
