Besiktas striker Vincent Aboubakar has been in contact with West Ham United about a possible move to the Premier League in the summer, according to Milliyet.

The Turkish newspaper says the Cameroonian international is unhappy at Besiktas after feeling he has been hung out to dry by the club after having to face intense criticism from fans and the media since being sent off in two consecutive matches.

The 25 year old is only on loan  in Turkey from Porto so talks with the Hammers can take place if the Portuguese club permit it, and it seems a likely link considering West Ham are looking to sign a new striker at the end of the season.

Aboubakar has scored 13 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions for Besiktas but his last two matches have soured relations between him and the club’s supporters. He was sent off in the 39th minute in the Europa League match against Olympiakos. The Turkish champions still progressed to the next round though with a 5-2 aggregate win.

The forward started against Antalyaspor in the league at the weekend, but was sent off for two bookable offences in the second half in a match Besiktas drew 0-0.
