Osmanlispor rejected an €8million (£7m) bid from West Ham for attacking midfielder Pape Alioune N’Diaye a few hours before the transfer deadline last night, according to wiwsport.com.

The Turkish website say that the Hammers had previously had a a bid of €5.5million turned down for the 26 year old but the Senegalese international will now remain in Turkey until the end of the season.

N’Diaye was named in his first African Cup if Nations squad for Senegal last month and played three times during the tournament as the Lions were knocked out on penalties by Cameroon at the quarter final stage.

N’Diaye has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months with Premier League side Crystal Palace also reportedly interested in the player. In 29 matches this campaign, the midfielder has scored six times, and provided three assists in all competitions for Osmanlispor, helping the Turkish club to sixth in the Super Lig table.
