Chelsea’s talented young midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah would be a good choice in terms of a relatively like-for-like replacement. The former England youth international’s career has been given new life under Blues boss Antonio Conte after a raft of loan moves to clubs in the lower divisions. But if he were to move to West Ham, the tough-tackling, high-tempo defensive midfielder would likely find himself with the kind of starting role he is, for now, unable to achieve at Stamford Bridge.
