Celtic’s on loan Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts has certainly made a name for himself north of the border and looks a real talent, even if the standard of the SPL leaves a certain amount to be desired. His performances in Europe have also raised eyebrows, and his impressive goal against his parent club, where he weaved in and out of the City defence to slot home, must have got Guardiola thinking. But it’s no sure bet that Roberts will hop into the City first team and a substantial bid could prize the nippy, fast-dribbling talent to the London Stadium. Roberts is an England international in the making and handing him the promise of first team football would be a smart move on Bilic’s part.
