West Ham United and Hull City are interested in signing Inter Milan centre back Andrea Ranocchia, according to Sky Sport Italia (translated by Football-Italia.net).

The TV station also report however that the Italian international is reluctant to leave Italy for England. He has rejected a similar offer from Liverpool in the past because of doubts about living in the country.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic looks to be seeking a centre half in this transfer window after the defensive issues that have plagued the club this season. West Ham have the sixth worst defence in the Premier League and the 5-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup last weekend would have helped Bilic make his mind up about shoring up the backline in January

Ranocchia has been used sparingly for Inter this season with just nine appearances to his name in all competitions. The attraction of first team football in London may help him make up his mind about changing countries.
