West Ham are considering a move for Palmeiras defender Yerry Mina, according to the Mirror. The Colombian international has been offered to the Hammers, as well as the likes of Barcelona and a number of other top European clubs, but the Hammers hope that the offer of first team football could help persuade the 22 year old.

Mina’s performances both at club and international level have made him a highly sought off property with Manchester City also having looked at the player. The 6ft 5in centre back would give Hammers boss Slaven Bilic more options at the back where they have struggled so far this season.

The centre half only made his debut for Colombia back in June in the Copa America, coming on as a last minute substitute in the group stage match against Paraguay.

He has also only recently moved to Palmeiras after switching from Colombian side Independiente Sante Fe in May, and has played just a handful games for the Brazilian club after being sidelined with a hamstring injury at the back end of last year.
