West Ham striker Jonathan Calleri could have played his last game for the club despite scoring his first goal in the 3-1 win over Middlesbrough at the weekend.

Speaking to Italian newspaper the Corriere Dello Sport, the 23 year old said it wasn’t certain he will be joining La Liga side Las Palmas but he will know in the very near future:

“I do not know yet if I will go playing at Las Palmas, the situation should be resolved shortly.”

Calleri joined on loan from Deportivo Maldonado in a deal that could cost the Hammers £4million. The forward has not been picked regularly by manager Slaven Bilic though, and his substitute appearance against Middlesbrough on Saturday was the first for the club since late October when he came as a sub in the 1-0 win over Sunderland.

The Argentinian has also been linked with Brazilian club Sao Paulo and Italian sides Sampdoria and Fiorentina, but the investment fund that owns his registration believe that Las Palmas could be the right option for his career.
