West Ham United have made a “good” offer for Saint-Etienne right back Kevin Malcuit, according to Le10 Sport. The French website reports that they do not know the size of the bid made by the Hammers but they are aware that the French club have received an offer.

Malcuit arrived from the lower leagues of French football at the end of the 2015 summer transfer window but played just nine games in Ligue One all of last season.

The 25 year old has however established himself as a first team regular this campaign, and has played 22 matches in all competitions, providing four assists.

The Frenchman plays mostly as a right back, but he has on occasion been used further forward as a right winger, as well as on the opposite side of defence at left back.

Manager Slaven Bilic has been seeking a right back with Sam Byram the only recognised player in the first team squad who naturally plays the position. Havard Nordtveit and Michail Antonio have also played there this season but it seems the Hammers boss is looking for a more long term solution.
