Hull City manager Marco Silva has rejected talk that centre half Harry Maguire could leave for West Ham before the end of the transfer window.

The Sun reported in an article on Saturday that the Hammers were lining up a £9million bid for the 23 year old, after already signing winger Robert Snodgrass for £10million from the Tigers this month. Speaking to the Hull Daily Mail, Silva said Maguire will not be leaving the club:

“There is nothing in that, it is impossible that Maguire leaves the club, it is impossible.”

Maguire joined Hull from Sheffield United in 2014 but it took the defender until his second full season at the club to establish himself in the starting eleven.

After helping the Tigers to promotion from the Championship last season, he has played regularly in the Premier League this campaign, making 22 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goals and providing three assists.
