West Ham are looking into signing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic if they can sell Dimitri Payet, according to L’Equipe (paywall). The French publication say that Slaven Bilic is lining up a bid for his fellow countryman.
Perisic is available for transfer, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport. Inter are trying to free up cash for ambitious summer moves for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez or Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and are willing to let Perisic go to make room for new signings.
The 27 year old was given his international debut by Bilic when he was Croatia manager back in 2011, and the pair no doubt know each other quite well. La Gazzetta do say however that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is a keen admirer of the Croatian winger, as well as Liverpool and Manchester United.
Perisic has performed well in Serie A this season and in 20 appearances for Inter he has scored seven goals, and provided four assists.
