West Ham have been joined by Everton and Crystal Palace in the race to sign Milan forward M’Baye Niang, according to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
Di Marzio, who works for Sky Sport Italia, revealed on his website last night that Niang is “tempted” by a move to England with the Hammers among the sides in hot pursuit of his signature.
Question marks over Niang’s future at the San Siro have grown after the Rossoneri signed Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu on loan until the end of the season. The French Under 21 international has been playing regularly on the left wing this season under manager Vincenzo Montella but the arrival of Deulofeu could see his playing time severely reduced.
The Evening Standard have reported in recent days that Milan are open to allowing Niang to leave on loan during this transfer window although they would also demand £13m to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
