West Ham are continuing to monitor Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart but they will face competition from three other sides for his signature, reports the Daily Mail. Ken Dyer in the Evening Standard said last month that the England star was a summer transfer target for the Hammers, but it looks as if they will have competition from Everton, Chelsea and Newcastle when Hart returns to England in June.

The 29 year old is currently playing for Torino in Serie A on a season long loan, but it has been widely reported that the keeper will not remain in Italy when his loan spell comes to an end.

Although Hart has cemented his first team place in Turin, with 16 league starts this campaign, he feels he must return to the Premier League in order to remain England’s number one goalkeeper under new permanent manager Gareth Southgate.

Newcastle’s interest will very much depend on them being promoted this season while Chelsea’s may only be if Thibaut Courtois departs for Real Madrid. The likelihood is it would be a straight fight between Everton and the Hammers to sign the keeper.
