West Ham striker Simone Zaza’s father has revealed that his son will only be moving on a permanent transfer from Juventus when he departs from the Hammers this month.

Speaking to Juvenews.eu, Antonio Zaza said that the player only wants to play in Italy, and won’t accept another loan move. When asked about another loan spell he said:

“No, he would go away outright and I repeat that he wants to return to Serie A.”

He also revealed that the forward was reluctant to join West Ham in the summer but a “series of circumstances” led to the move happening:

“No one forced us, but Simone would never go abroad [again], he loves Italy and Serie A. A series of circumstances led him to the Premier League. It is now gone, and we look to the future.”

Zaza’s move to West Ham was expected to be made permanent for £20million after 14 appearances for the Hammers, but the 25 year old never reached the milestone.

Manager Slaven Bilic started Zaza in five league matches, and he made 11 appearances in total for the club, but he did not score a single goal. He will be returning to Juventus at some point this month although there has yet to be official confirmation (other than from his father) that he will be leaving.
