Italian side Fiorentina will attempt to bring in both Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri during the January transfer window, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.

Both loan signings are surplus to requirements at West Ham and the Italian newspaper is reporting that Fiorentina Sporting Director Pantaleo Corvino is keen on taking both players off the Hammers’ hands.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic said in his press conference yesterday that he will allow Zaza to depart this month. It is likely the loan deal will be cut short in order for Zaza to talk with prospective Serie A sides, including Fiorentina, but much will depend on the Viola agreeing terms with the Italian international’s parent club Juventus.

With Calleri, the situation is pretty similar. He has not featured since late October, coming on as a late substitute against Sunderland. The Argentinian has been linked with a number Spanish sides in recent weeks with Las Palmas the latest to be mentioned.

The 23 year old is currently on loan from Uruguayan side Deportivo Maldonado and the Hammers would have to cancel their loan agreement to allow a move to either Italy or Spain. The striker is particularly attractive to Italian clubs like Fiorentina as he has an Italian passport and is not classed as a non-EU citizen.
