West Ham are looking to offer Dimitri Payet another contract to keep him at the Hammers, according to Score.fr. The French website report that the London club are willing to double the 29 year old’s wage in order to keep him at the London Stadium.

Currently, Payet is reportedly to be earning €232,000 a month (roughly £49,000 a week) and the new contract offer on the table, reports score.fr, is approximately €584,000 a month (roughly £123,000 a week).

The midfielder only recently signed a new deal last February but recent speculation linking with moves to Arsenal and Marseille has meant the Hammers are keen to persuade the player to stay.

In an interview with French TV station RMC Sport this week, Payet stated his desire to play in the Champions League again, but Sky Sports are reporting that that player will not be allowed to leave in January. Whether they will be able to persuade him to stay to help turn the club’s season around could prove vital for West Ham.
