West Ham are interested in signing Granada centre back Molla Wague, according to tuttomercatoweb.com. The Italian website also report the 25 year old has interest from Southamption and a number of French teams.
The Malian defender has been on loan at Udinese for the past two and a half years after signing for Granada from Caen in July 2014, but he hasn’t been a regular at the Serie A side during his time in Italy with just 37 appearances made in his spell at the club.
This season he has made six starts, the last of which came in the 2-1 defeat to Cagliari in late November. He has subsequently been benched for the past two matches against Crotone and Atalanta after not making the match day squad for the game against Bologna.
The 25 year old does have some experience at international level with Mali, being capped 19 times by his country with the last coming against Gabon in a World Cup qualifier last month.
