Valencia will wait until West Ham opt to cut Simone Zaza’s loan short before making a move for the Italian international, according to Super Deporte.

The local newspaper state that manager Cesare Prandelli has been informed by the club’s owner Peter Lim that they will have to mindful of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations in January when they try to rebuild the squad after a calamitous first half of the season..

Zaza is a key priority for the club next month, but only if Zaza returns to Juventus. The Hammers are obligated to pay £20million if he reaches 14 appearances, and Valencia would not want to take any of the obligations related to the London club’s agreement with Juve.

The La Liga side do have good relations with the Italians after negotiating about the possible sale of Andre Gomes. In fact, Zaza could have left for Valencia last summer as part of the deal for Gomes heading in the other direction, Super Deporte reports.

Gomes however eventually left for Barcelona, but Valencia Sporting Director Jesus Garcia Pitarch could reopen contacts about Zaza if and when West Ham decide to send the player back to Italy.
