Fiorentina may look at signing Simone Zaza if their striker Nikola Kalinic departs for China in the January transfer window, reports La Nazione (via Fiorentina.it).

The Italian newspaper say that the Serie A side are determined to keep Kalinic but with Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian circling the 28 year old, sporting director Pantaleo Corvino is having to look at other options if the Croatian international leaves.

Zaza’s name has been suggested. He will leave West Ham in January after the Hammers cut his loan deal short. He will return to Juventus, and it was believed that Valencia were the front runners for his signature, but Lazio, and now Fiorentina, look to have other ideas. Fiorentina manager Paulo Sousa is however also considering Inter Milan, and former Manchester City, striker Stevan Jovetic as another potential signing.

Kalinic meanwhile has also been linked with a move to West Ham but the player’s €50million release clause would certainly put off the Hammers.
