Coventry City are interested in signing West Ham attacking midfielder Marcus Browne on a short term loan, according to the Coventry Telegraph.

The 19 year old has already made his senior debut for the Hammers when manager Slaven Bilic called up the midfielder to play in the Europa League qualifying round against Astra Giurgiu in the 1-1 draw back in August.

Since then Browne has returned to playing for West Ham’s Under 23, but he has participated in the Checkatrade Trophy against League One and League Two sides this campaign.

The player actually faced Coventry in the group stages of the competition in a 4-2 defeat back in late August, and the Coventry Telegraph report that this is where Browne came to the attention of the Sky Blues.

So far this season, Browne has made ten appearances in Premier League 2, scoring two goals and providing one assist. He also played all three matches in the Checkatrade group stages.
