West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet feels he enjoy playing for Arsenal if the Gunners were interested in signing him.

The 29 year old has been heavily linked with a switch to Arsene Wenger’s side but in an interview with RMC Sport (translated by the Evening Standard), Payet said the French manager has never contacted about a switch to the Emirates Stadium:

“I read that Wenger considered me as the missing piece of Arsenal’s play, but he said nothing to me. We conceded five or six at home against them recently. When you see them play, as a ball playing footballer, one could only enjoy oneself playing in this team. They are candidates for the title every year.”

Payet also revealed in the interview that he wouldn’t rule out a return to Marseille. The attacking midfielder left the Ligue One club for £12million to join the Hammers in 2015.

Although his performances haven’t been as stellar as last season, where he hit double figures for both goals and assists, the Frenchman numbers this season haven’t dropped a great deal. Payet has made 18 appearances so far this campaign, scoring three goals and providing seven assists in all competitions. With the Hammers struggling for form however, the club are having to rely too much on the midfielder to make the difference in matches.

If Payet were to leave, Hammers fans would be very disappointed and could turn their attention to the available foxy bingo promo code in order to cheer themselves up.
